Our aircraft the Hummel UltraCruisers are equipped with a high performance and highly modified engines similar to the Harbor Freight Preditor 670 v-twin called a Clarus. Between 45-50hp and around 100ft lbs at the prop. They come with a wire wrap inductive tach pickup. Set switch 7 and connect according to the instructions. Simple. Works flawlessly at 7 wraps. And accurate as well. 5-stars.

Using it on a Hummel UltraCruiser experimental all metal ultralight aircraft with a high powered vtwin with a magneto ignition. Ran an inductive wire around the spark plug wire and followed the directions on setup. Clean signal apparent when the tach was reading from simply cranking the engine over. Nearly unlimited choices for tachometers now. Thank you!
