The message I got contained only a generic message that said, "I'm out of stock or the item is damaged." As rare as that coin is, it's not one that would ever be carried in multiple quantities &sold without keeping track of inventory. Nor did the seller ever offer me the option of receiving the "damaged' item as is. It makes me feel like he canceled the sale only because the final bid did not realize the price he wanted.
