      The cashmere sweater I purchased arrived smelling like harshly fragranced detergent. Its triggering by allergies and asthma. I have a feeling that it also suffered heat damage, because the fabric makes a popping sound when the fabric is stretched. The arms are way too tight. I am soaking in cold water and wool detergent and hoping the smell will dissipate, and that the fit will relax a bit.
