With the end of the CM-4 flush to the rear of the clip gives maximum length for attaching windscreens and maintaining 17cm spacing at 110 degrees. I had a set of low profile XLR cables made by Redco, but a standard XLR would work due to the vertical offset. I love how easy it is to insert and remove the cm4 mic and they stay firmly in place.
