Black Opal is less lively than an Australian one, but this is reflected in the price. I like the ring design which is band-like, although there are some rough edgings underneath scraping the skin. Likely, because the ring is a ready cast model and not handmade. Will ask my goldsmith to soften the edges for greater comfort of wear. Very pleased that the opal is not a doublet, and shows off a solid dome nestled among small diamonds.
