Despite their significance, historical records provide scant details about this illustrious ruler, leaving scholars uncertain whether he should be designated as Azes I or Azes II. An exceptionally preserved silver drachm, dating back two millennia, portrays the king mounted on horseback, while the reverse features a depiction of the standing figure of Zeus.”
