Though wheelset arrived without damage, it was clearly luck that saved these wheels from significant damage. The wheels were shipped in an oversized flimsy box with one very thin layer of bubble wrap that didn't completely cover the wheels. There was significant free space without any support packaging which allowed the wheels to freely travel/rattle around from one end to the other. Both wheels broke free from the bubble wrap, and breeched the inadequate box. Luck at best they survived.
