In Debian everything works including the bluetooth adapter as verified by bluetoothctl list command. In windows the drivers had a bit of complication. If you are getting drivers from the Alfa website get the drivers for AWUS036AXML. They are the only ones listed that support triband and worked perfectly for me. Then install the windows bluetooth setup program. Unzip the bluetooth zip file and use device manager to update the bluetooth driver by pointing to the directory with the unzipped files.
