In Guild Wars: Nightfall, players defend the continent of Elona from a mad ruler's attempt to free an outcast god and bring darkness to the land. Released as a stand-alone game, but also as an expansion to previous Guild Wars titles, Nightfall features riddles to solve, two additional character professions, 300 skills, 250 quests, 55 explorable areas, 20 story missions, three challenge missions, four added guild halls, and hero battles that focus on player-versus-player combat. Nightfall characters can choose to become a Dervishes (holy warriors) or Paragons (guardian angels chosen by gods). Nightfall also introduces "hero" companions, which function as customizable henchmen that stay with the player's character from one adventure to the next. The game offers a tutorial for beginners, cooperative play in top-end dungeons for two players, and online competitive action against another players and their heroes. Characters from previous versions of Guild Wars can be imported into the Nightfall game to make use of the new content and abilities.<br><br>The "Collector's Edition" of Nightfall includes the full game, a "making of" DVD, an art book, collectable skill pins, a mini character statue, a poster-sized map of Elona, and the Guild Wars: Nightfall soundtrack.
