The large black washer is to thin and easily bends/concave in a cup like fashion as the ball is tighten. 2. The hook bracket inserted inside the Mfg'd hood hole is slightly to short. Lengthening the chrome like part that the hood ball screws into, would prevent the chrome like piece inside the hood from spinning & moving off center inside the Mgf hole.
