You can take your gaming on the go with this Nintendo 3DS handheld. The Flame Red edition has a great style and can fit in your pocket or the palm of your hand. This console supports 3D games without the need for 3D glasses or other accessories. It also supports Amiibo, which are figurine toys that come to life through games. The device is hinged, folds closed, and has a screen on both the upper and lower half. There are two ways to play video games on your Nintendo 3DS system. You can purchase cartridges, which have their own storage and insert into a port at the back of the device. This version does come with a 2GB microSD card, but an easy upgrade can provide you with even more storage space for digital games. The Nintendo 3DS also has multiple cameras and the software to make the most of them. There’s one user facing or “selfie†camera and two outward facing units. The neat thing about the front facing cameras is that you can use them to take 3D as well as traditional photos. The 3DS has a low light mode, and there are various filters and effects that you can apply to both photos and video. Other exciting aspects of these portable 3DS consoles is SpotPass and StreetPass. Unless disabled, SpotPass is always on, even in sleep mode, and attempting to make connections. It uses this to download updates, new software, and more. Enter a Nintendo or partner store, and you’ll automatically connect with a 3DS relay to enhance your Mii Plaza. Nintendo StreetPass is built on SpotPass and allows nearby 3DS systems to identify each other and share information. Use the AC adapter to charge the internal 3DS battery. You can still play while you charge. Other features of the 3DS include a circle pad, a gyro sensor, a pedometer, and a motion sensor. The Nintendo 3DS Flame Red edition is a portable gaming system that lets you experience single player games as well as games with multiple players. You can enjoy it from the couch or on the go.
