The "fine art of burger cuisine" is practiced to patty-piling perfection in this arcade-style game designed in the spirit of Diner Dash and Cake Mania. Hawaiian, bacon, cheese, double veggie, and other burger types are available to assemble as players frantically work from behind the counter to grill patties, squirt condiments, and more. Each day begins at 10:30am and ends at 3:00pm. The goal is to earn a requisite amount of cash by assembling trays with all the ingredients required by hungry customers. Fail to meet the goal, and you'll lose one of your available "lives." <br><br>In addition to hamburgers, the game includes various recipes for shakes, fries, and other fast-food delights. Players are cast in the role of Patty Melton, who is given control of a burger shack after being stranded on a tropical island. Patty works with a French waiter named Pierre, who not only serves the food, but also serves as her guide to the world of short-order cooking. Weekly salaries can be spent on more than 30 mouth-watering, cholesterol-climbing recipes or new restaurants in five choice locations around the beach. Burger Island features 60 levels and three difficulty settings: kiddie, regular, and of course, jumbo size.
