The Cisco 2921 wired router integrates voice, video, security, wireless, mobility, and data services at WAN speeds of up to 75 Mbps. Designed for scalability, this three-port router can support a growing office network and business. High-performance multi-core processors power this Cisco wired router, while intelligent power management allows for control of power at different times of the day and night, to ensure energy efficiency. A multi-gigabit fabric (GF) facilitates efficient communication between modules while reducing demands on the central processor of this three-port router. Hardware encryption acceleration is embedded in the Cisco 2921 wired router, for network security. This Cisco wired router also includes voice and video-capable digital signal processor (DSP) slots, optional firewall, intrusion prevention, call processing, voicemail, and application services. Three 10/100/1000 gigabit Ethernet ports allow for connection of other devices. One of these supports Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP)-based fiber connectivity. In addition to console and auxiliary ports, the Cisco 2921 wired router has a USB console port for devices without a serial port, such as newer laptop computers.
