The Allen-Bradley 1746A-NR8 I/O module is great for CompactLogix or MicroLogix 1500 PLC or SLC controllers. The controller offers a scalable controller design that provides many settings that work for different applications. The controller provides the input component for your computer building and repairing needs. The module offers eight channels of RTD/resistance input. It is compatible with most any spot on the Allen-Bradley chassis but specifically the 1746-nr8 input module, and it is easy to install with the right cable, and does not take a long time. When installing, make sure you choose a slot that reduces the effects of electrical interference that RTD modules can be susceptible to. This type of controller has an incredible step response, and has direct communication with a variety of channels, including ControlNet, DeviceNet, and Ethernet/Internet protocol. It is also able to work with third-party devices from other brands. The 1746A-NR8 series input module has 16 single-ended inputs with eight differential or four differential for analog data. Its input range is plus or minus 10 volts. Eight-point modules offer increased accuracy and repeatability and greater stability over temperature operating ranges. The eight-point module also offers increased precision with 24 bits of usable resolution, synchronized input sampling across all modules anywhere in a CIP Synch system, and per channel status with fault LED annunciation. The Allen-Bradley 1746A-NR8 input module from Rockwell Automation comes with a full PDF with all relevant information and technical definitions with regard to current, voltage, differential, inputs, and outputs. It also contains onboard data alarming, scaling to engineering units, and real-time channel sampling. The controller also contains diagnostic features that can assist in identifying the source of problems that occur during power-up or normal channel operation.
