I wore out my original Sony VCR machine all the way just to get most of the footage to come undone from years of stiffness. My current machine is getting cleaned and repaired after multiple attempts to play this tape. My replacement machine thankfully took about three more tries to get it to play and rewind fully with minor issues. An original tape never been played
