With so many daring quests to complete, you keep the whole family occupied for hours with “Disney Universe.” With over 40 Disney and Pixar characters included in the gameplay, your face is sure to light up at the sight of Simba from “The Lion King,” Jack Sparrow from “The Pirates of the Caribbean,” The Mad Hatter from “Alice in Wonderland,” and many others. Whether solving puzzles, collecting coins and powerups, or just enjoying the fun of playing and competing as your Disney favorites, this game is a unique and engaging gaming experience. In the game, you travel across six different worlds from both classic and contemporary Disney and Pixar movies, running into characters that include Mickey Mouse, Baloo, Ariel, Goofy, Rapunzel, and many others are also featured as you suit up in costumes that come straight out of these beloved movies. Depending on which costume you choose, you’re able to acquire different tools and weapons based on power-ups. For example, as Aladdin, you access the genie’s lamp with four stars, and if you play as Sully from “Monsters Inc.”, you’re able to use Boo’s door. Defending yourself will be key as you and your friends take on some of the most notorious villains from throughout Disney’s history. Your enemies include Scar from “The Lion King,” Jafar from “Aladdin,” and The Red Queen from “Alice in Wonderland.” As you work to complete quests throughout these different worlds, the bad guys try to trip you up by hiding essential objects or setting up traps. Throughout the exciting gameplay, the most memorable part is seeing all these different characters interact for the first time, and you get to be a part of the action! You don’t have to take on these tasks alone though. While you can certainly enjoy “Disney Universe” in single-player mode, up to four players are able to connect and play through local multi-player mode as well, adding another layer of fun to the game. Team up with your friends to defeat the various villains of the universe or suit up as your favorite Disney characters and battle each other. On top of so many exciting characters being featured in this single game, downloadable content allows you to add even more to the party. Beloved characters such as Peter Pan, Hercules, Tiana, and Daisy Duck are all accessed in this way. There are also theme-packs available for the Xbox 360 that are inspired by “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and “Phineas and Ferb.”
