About this product
Product Information
In this compilation for the Game Boy Color, players will get to revisit two classic coin-ops from 1982 and 1984: Moon Patrol and Spy Hunter, respectively. Moon Patrol has you driving a moon rover moving from left to right as you fire at alien vessels looking to do you in. The object of the game is to ensure Sector Nine of Luna City is safe from invasion. To do this, you must patrol the city's areas (points A-Z) across five sections; remain in one piece at the end of a section and you'll advance to the next beat.

Moon Patrol is notable for featuring enemies along the ground as well as in the sky. Don't worry, your vehicle is equipped with laser cannons that can fire at both spaceships and ground units at the same time! Enemies to keep an eye out for are land cruisers, piranha plants, tanks, triangle ships, and flying saucers. The moon's surface is also littered with mines, rocks, and craters, so you'll need to either jump or blast them away to keep moving.

Spy Hunter has you living the life of a secret agent as you drive a tricked-out car from an overhead perspective. Standard-issue weapons include dual machine guns mounted on the front of your vehicle, but you'll also be able to acquire missiles, smoke screens, and oil slicks as well as call on a special weapons van to offer some help. As you drive along the vertically scrolling roads, you'll need to watch out for numerous enemies who seem to know your true identity.

What this means is that they'll try to put you out of commission! The deadly opponents include The Road Lord, Switchblade, The Enforcer, The Mad Bomber, Barrel Dumper, and Doctor Torpedo. Enemy vehicles are distinguished by color, so you'll know what techniques to use as they close in on you. Remember one thing: if you can't shoot them, ram 'em off the road!
