    The pawl kit arrived but to my disappointment it does not fit my 98 model sled. It arrived in a sealed package but I could tell there were parts included that my sled doesn’t have. Production date is 9/97 so I know the year is correct. Could be that a previous owner installed a newer recoil starter somewhere along the line as the existing recoil has no metal springs or retainers. Can’t blame the seller, they did great. Quick delivery. New quality parts. Good price.

    Thanks for the feedback! Yes, it should work correctly and we've had this item for sale for decades without any issues. We see a lot of previous owners do exactly what you stated... they swap things out with other models and then you, as the current owner, are left to try and figure out what you actually have and how to go about repairing or replacing it.
