When power is removed from the layout the HM7000 sounds only last for about 20 seconds whereas the Hornby equivalent lasts for up to one minute.Reply from: 2ktechnologies- Feedback replied by seller 2ktechnologies.- Feedback replied by seller 2ktechnologies.Having read this - I wonder if you are in the right hobby, a stay alive is just to get the loco over a bad track joint and not to run the loco with no power, there are different sizes of stay alive, thats why some last longer than others, the hornby one is not an equivalent, its a totally different thing, the HM7000 system is poor and has in built known faults thats why you have to fit a stay alive to it to try and stop it from going wrong. HM7000 should be avoided, its just something for kids
