Ring II: Twilight of Gods is Arxel Tribe's second PC adaptation of Richard Wagner's opera, Der Ring des Nibelungen, opera tetralogy. Two years after the award-winning Ring: The Legend of the Nibelungen, the developer again hooked up with graphic artist Philippe Druillet (Salammbo) to incorporate the legend of Siegfried -- the focus of Ring II -- and bring to a conclusion the interactive cycle of the first game.<br><br>A first-person adventure in a 3D environment, accompanied by a full orchestral score of Wagner's music, Ring II follows the legend of Siegfried. The last of a dignified human line -- the Wälsung, whose lineage can be traced back to Wotan the master of the gods -- Siegfried was taken in by the dwarf Mime after the death of his parents.<br><br>Brought up in a shadowy and violent forest far from any human interference and forced to live out his early years as a slave, young Siegfried eventually begins to discover his family's history. He learns of his father Nothung and the sword he used to wield. Players will embark on a journey to recover this lost sword and free the Walkyrie Brünehilde. Along the way monsters must be slain, puzzles solved, and Fafner, a Dragon, must be defeated.
