The shape and function works but it should probably be made of rubber like the original. However the snorkel does fit in the original equipment airbox lid, so you can use that instead of the one that comes with this kit. The snorkel needs to be glued in with some sort of silicone or something, it does not tight fit like the original. But once you have it sorted, this snorkel is much less restricted than the original KLX snorkel.
