Synopsis
For 20 years, Roberta lived alone in Haiti, raising 36 children and feeding another 150 in her Nutrition Center. She was brutally murdered October 10, 2015.She lived with the children 24/7, fed them, and home schooled them. They had all been destitute, some had literally been thrown away. Barbed wire and broken bottles atop a surrounding concrete wall offered protection for the family. Her sacrifices were many and daily as she learned to live in a hostile environment in a new culture with a language she initially could not speak. A failed marriage and a massive earthquake did not deter her endless passion to take the gospel to a people she loved.Because of her belief, murder did not defeat Roberta: "If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord." (Romans 14:8). Her story lives on.
