Synopsis
In this, the second volume in the Soldiers Trilogy, we follow the Martin twins from carefree college days to the working world to the abyss of a world at war. As a newspaperman in Paris, Tommy Martin finds his love only to lose her as Paris is swallowed up in the Nazi occupation. The war reunites the twins' father and an old friend, but they are separated by the German Blitz on London. The Henderson family is shown on the eve of the attack on Pearl Harbor.
