Threaded mounts at the top may tempt you to add a meaty camera & lens - but really, these are better for mobile/pocket cameras but even then barely. They’re perfect for mounting speedlights in my opinion and that’s what I bought them. If I want something more permanent and flexible (I’m not a pro!) I’ll spend more on a unit that is designed for a bit of hammer. These aren’t but for the price, they’re bang on!
