Looks like the gauge was taken out of its original box an then all the contents poured into a bigger box, tapped and mailed off. Thats how we received it. I buy ship an sell items myself. I take great care to insure the item will arrive in 1 piece. All in all , it is as described. Was a good deal. Just the way it was packaged was lack luster.
