I would have loved to have a few with replaceable batteries. I tried prying some open, but it isn't worth hurting my hand with a screwdriver or knife. In the plus column, about 8 of the Tiles still have battery (at the moment) and could be activated. This is more than I expected. I'm glad I didn't buy the batteries! The rest will be used for name tags, or mosaic art, or recycled at Staples.
