It is set up as a windows system so there is a little learning curve, nothing scary. I use Debian Linux with the rest of my computers (I own an optical company so we have lots of computers). Zorin OS seems to be a Debian based system like Ubantu. The best bang for the buck. If you are considering something chrome, stop and check this out before you buy a Chrome.

The most mentally challenging part of setup was choosing the right variant of the English language and testing it in the"Type test" window. The machine runs great, even with geezer operator
