The covers are exceptionally clean. The gilt lettering on the spine is still fairly bright. The spine ends have the usual crinkling. The cover edges are in excellent shape. The corners look very good. The spine is straight. The book is solidly bound with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. The pages are in excellent shape. They are exceptionally clean. I'm not finding any soiling. I'm not seeing any creasing. There are no markings. Theodore Bikel's bookplate is the only attachment. The signed inscription is the only writing.I've always had the dust jacket in a fitted active cover. You can see the loss the top edge of the spine. The rear cover has some foxing or soiling. The flaps are in solid shape, a thin bit of toning at their top edges. The jacket is NOT price-clipped, not clipped at all.”
