Los Angeles-based Eels defy convention with their Dream Works debut. Led by singer/songwriter/guitarist E, the band celebrates the offbeat in a fascinating musical landscape that relies on melody, insight, a unique use of sampling and bizarre instrumentation. Having released 2 solo albums in the early '90s, Eels is the first band experience for E, who produced Beautiful Freak with aid from Michael Simpson (Beastie Boys, Beck).
