Adapted from Roald Dahl's novel of the same name, Matilda is directed by Danny DeVito, who also stars in the movie as Mr. Wormwood. The main character is Mara Wilson as Matilda. Danny captures the life of a sweet and genius girl with her grouchy parents. She wants to attend school and get as much knowledge as possible. She later starts school, which is under the control of a terrible principal. With cruel parents and school principal, she discovers her hidden telekinetic powers. With having to learn how to control the powers comes her liberation, and she later uses it to scare the principal from school.
