(Bartsch) / Radierung, Nr. 4 aus einer Folge von 8 mit 'Ochsen und Kühen' die zuerst bei Clement de Jonghe (1624-1677) als 'echter' Paulus Potter (1625-1654) erschienen ist - Blatt Nr. 1 ist mit 'Paulus Potter f.' signiert -, um 1650. / Bereits Bartsch jedoch hat diese Zuschreibung deutlich abgelehnt, kann jedoch für die Blätter Nr. 2, 4 u. 5 ebenfalls keinen ausführenden Künstler nennen (s. u.!!). / Referenz: Bartsch, Bd. 1, (1803), S. 64f., Nr. 4; TIB Nr. 67; Rijksmuseum, Nr. RP-P-OB-65.719 / Guter Abdruck auf Bütten mit Wasserzeichen (Narrenkappe, mit 7 Schellen am Kragen); beschnitten, zu bd. Seiten noch mit der Plattenkante, oben und unten mit Rändchen um die Einfassungslinie. Das Blatt leicht angestaubt u. fleckig. Verso mit Montageresten oben. Linksseitig auf Karton montiert.”
