Product thoroughly washed by hand and has been working as intended. I have a similar one from years past, and the only failing component was the lid after too many trips in the dishwasher. If that could last 20 years, paying roughly $1 per year (or more since this will strictly be handwashed, keeping it intact longer) that is an incredible lifespan.
