Explore the limits of your photographic skills with the Nikon D3300 HD DSLR with AF-S DX 18-55 VRII lens. With its 24.2-megapixel sensor, this camera can take stunning high-definition pictures in both still and video formats. While the Nikon D3300 falls toward the entry-level edge of Nikon's digital camera offerings, there is nothing entry-level about it. The camera comes packed with lots of features and extras. It is a great option if you've been looking to upgrade to a DSLR unit. The D3300 will capture your attention from the moment you pick it up. The bright red body with black accents stands out against the previous versions of this model, but that's not the only way this camera separates itself from the pack. The D3300 picks up largely where the D3200 left off in the Nikon lineup. The big difference between the two cameras is the EXPEED 4 processor on the D3300, which was Nikon's fastest processor at the time of its release. It increases the ISO sensitivity to a maximum of 25,600. As a video camera, it can record full HD 1080p at up to 60 frames per second, so you can film high-definition video without movement blur. Set it up with a tripod to film sporting events, celebrations, or your own short movie. It can also snap continuous still pictures at five frames per second, an advantage over the 4 FPS offered on the D3200. This camera type is perfect for beginners or seasoned shooters alike. You can set it to auto and let the camera determine the perfect settings for you, or disable the automatic flash. You can choose from pre-determined Scene Modes like portrait, landscape, child, sports, close-up, and night. The D3300 can also add special effects to your photos via the Effects Mode. Night vision, super vivid, pop, photo illustration, color sketch, toy camera, silhouette, HDR painting, or easy panorama help you to capture shots and bring your own artistic ability to the forefront. If you are interested in learning manual photography, you can switch to full manual control and experiment with different apertures. Set up your shot on the 3-inch screen, or use the viewfinder to look directly through the lens. Either way, the roomy screen gives you the ability to cycle through all of the image quality options, giving you full control over whatever subject you are shooting. Image quality and size, metering, ISO, white balance, flash and exposure compensation, focus, and autofocus are all accessed via the screen. In addition, the screen can be set to 11 stages of brightness and features a 160-degree viewing angle. Optional equipment can add Wi-Fi capability, and with a Nikon GP-1 accessory attached, you can easily geotag your photos and videos. The Nikon D3300 is fully compatible with all Nikon SLR lenses and teleconverters, and among the accessories kit included in the original packaging comes an 18-55mm lens. If the default lens does not work for you, just snap another lens onto your Nikon D3300 body.
