Notes
Those Darn Accordions power through an electric set of original, squeezebox-fueled rock/pop songs, infused with a wry take on the world, and features new members Susie Davis (Sheila E, Mick Jagger) and Carri Abrahms. They break out of "all accordions all the time" mode with special guests Adam Gabriel (banjo, dobro), Nik Phelps (trumpet) and Jim Rothermel (clarinet). Originals include "Staring in a Lawnball," "Dancing with a Dead Man," "There's Another Dumbass on the Mountain," "Rice for One," "Old Slow Guy," "Hungover in Clover," "My Friend Jim" and "Dr. Luv." Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein" and a wailing medley of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" and "Black Dog" get the nod for TDA's twisted cover treatment.
