    This is a Chinese made piece of junk. It broke on me the first time on my first fish 50 miles off shore with a broken reel, not a good day.

    Terribly sorry about your bad experience. Mind you, these parts are OEM and come directly from Penn. Unfortunately we have no control on where they choose to manufacture these parts. But FYI, the Fierce reel model is made in China, therefore, you would not expect parts to be made anywhere else other than the country of manufacture.
