      Well I could not install this lock as the original part was all metal construction the new one has plastic parts which failed after a short while so not a 100% satisfied

      The Genuine FQJ500250 also has plastic parts. Land Rover have superseded this part twice from the original design. If your latch doesn't have any plastic parts then you must have an original from build latch, most likely MWC1477. This was discontinued a number of years ago. The aftermarket FQJ500250 is of the same design as the current Genuine. This is the first that I have heard of this. You could have just contacted us to resolve the issue. We don't make the parts.
