      Weapons policy

Most types of weapons are not allowed on eBay. Those we do allow must follow our policy.

Most weapons can't be listed on eBay because of strict laws banning the sale of such weapons and/or weapon parts without an applicable valid license and/or approval of the relevant authority.

      What is the policy?

Weapons not allowed under this policy include, but are not limited to:

      • Arrows, bows and crossbows
      • Blow guns, blow pipes, and darts for blow weapons
      • Chain weapons such as scythes with chains, Chinese whips, Shoge, or Kyoketsu-Shoge
      • Hand weapons such as: Brass knuckles in any form, leaded canes, nightsticks, nunchakus, sansetsukons or weighted gloves
      • Martial arts weapons such as Sai, Jitte, Nunchaku, Kasari-Fundo, Kusari-Fundo or Manrikigusari
      • Pepper spray or mace
      • Throwing weapons that have 3 or more points or sharp edges
      • Weapons such as: Blow or dart guns, flare guns, potato guns, tear gas, stun guns, or tasers
      • Products that require license to sell, purchase or import are not allowed

Weapons allowed under this policy include, but are not limited to:

      • Training or practice weapons such as batons, nunchakus, and throwing stars may be listed as long as they are made of rubber foam, dense foam or foam with plastic interior tubes

Activity on eBay is required to follow this policy, the eBay User Agreement and all applicable laws, as well as respect the rights of third parties. If it doesn’t, eBay may take action consistent with applicable laws and the eBay User Agreement, and may even be legally required to do so. Such actions may include, as an example only: Removing the listing or other content, issuing a warning, restricting activity or account suspension.

Why does eBay have this policy?

We take our role in community safety seriously, and in accordance with government regulations and international laws, we prohibit the sale of certain weapons on eBay.
