How do I know if my phone is locked
or not?
That's a simple one. Just borrow a
SIM card from a friend that comes from an alternative carrier from yours. If
the phone works, your phone is unlocked. If you get an error message, it means
that your phone is locked. Usually it will ask say,
- Enter Subsidy Code
- Insert Correct Sim Card
- Wrong Sim Card
- Incorrect Sim Card
- Enter Unlock Code
- Sim Network Unlock Pin
- Sim Network Unlock Code
- Phone Restricted
- Invalid Smart Chip
- Special Code Required
Do I have to unlock my phone every
time I change SIM cards?
No. Once unlocked, your phone stays
unlocked even if you reset the phone , update rom or do a hard reset (data
wipe).
Do I save money by unlocking my
phone?
Yes. While you will still be paying
your provider the usual monthly rate, you can save money by using other SIM
cards for other regions or countries if you are traveling. You can avoid
roaming charges and you can search around for better rates wherever you are.
How much technical knowledge do I
need to unlock my phone?
None at all. The instructions are
easy to follow and simply require that you be able to enter the code unlocking
number on your keypad. If you can dial a telephone number, you can unlock via
code. Some phones do require sim cards and at times ones from the provided locked
to.

Can unlocking harm my phone? Is it
Legal?
Unlocking simply removes the network
and SIM locks imposed by your network carrier. It does not pose any threat to the phone or
the warranty. It is 100% legal due to the Digital Millennium Copyright Act that
was passed in 2006.
What happens if my code is not
found?
At times the codes are not on the
database provided different circumstances which include: the phone being barely
released by the carrier. In these instances, we do have alternative methods to
obtain the codes for many of the manufacturers. The success rate is usually
better and more accurate. We will alert you if this is needed for your order.
Refund Polices
Buyer
must notify Seller of invalid code claim within 7 days of receipt. Video proof must be
presented before a Refund will be given. We require the videos to be posted on
Youtube. We will not refund if the phone was ALREADY unlocked, a wrong IMEI was
given, the phone was hardlocked (please refer to Hardlocked on the FAQ) too
many bad codes attempted or if the phone has a hardware defect.
The
requirements for the video submission are as follows;
1)The video must be continuous
2)The video must show the IMEI screen
3)The video must show unlock code being entered
into the phone and error message after code
was entered.
Refunds will be issued through Paypal within 1-2
Business Days after reviewing the video with our supplier.
What
is a Hard-Locked Phone?
A Hard Lock
is a permanent carrier lock. Your phone will become hard locked by attempting to enter an
incorrect unlock code more times than your
phone allows, permanently locking the phone to the current carrier. Each phone manufacture has a different limit
for the amount of unsuccessful attempts
before the device becomes hard locked. Here are some examples:
- (0 Left) (Blackberry)
- Unlock Attempt: 10 of 10 (LG)
- Number of Attempts Remaining: 0 (Motorola)
- Contact Service Provider (Motorola)
- Tamper Alter (Motorola)
- Not Allowed / Cannot Undo Restriction (Nokia)
- Phone Freeze (Samsung)
